I saw a notice about this book in the back of this authors book of essays about parenting and when I went to buy it found out I already had it on my kindle so spent my day off reading it. Annie and her husband have lived in the community for a year but she hasnt made any friends. When she is invited to a crop and then Veras mom, Beatrice is stabbed and Annie goes to the hospital to visit, and she and Sheila and Vera discover boxes of scrapbook stuff on the curb outside of a ladys house who has just died, they take the boxes thinking they will make scrapbooks for the womens children. Annie gets a call from the Washington Tribune to write articles about what turns into a murder investigation. How Annie and Vera's mom, Beatrice discover the murderer makes for a very good read. Good editing, great characters and a Great story. Highly recommend this book.
